In a recent research article published in the Journal of Applied Polymer Science, Dr. Rituparna Duarah and her collaborators focused on the development of an antifungal, biodegradable polymer composite material for food packaging applications using the melt processing technique.

This article presents the novel application of conventional high-processivity melt processing for bio-based polymers combined with natural polyene (nystatin) to create antifungal films, marking the first instance of such a development.
